The MFC U8 Gold used a total team effort to go undefeated in the Christmas Angel tournament. Down 1-0 at half of the championship game, they fought back behind a second half shut out from keeper Cate Schneider and an equalizing goal from Carlos Suarez. After regulation ended at 1-1, the teams went into PKs, which were also tied after five rounds, sending the game into sudden death PKs. In the fourth round of sudden death PKs, Fischer Pieratt hit his PK to put MFC up one and Chase Simpson made another great save to seal the victory and the tournament championship.
